installation #9100

I totally agree. I'm currently working on getting someone at GH to merge #7555 so macOS users also get a simple installer. But for now here is a short installation guide on macOS:
sudo mv bin/gh /usr/local/bin
sudo mv share/man/man1/* /usr/local/share/man/man1 Unfortunately gh does not include the auto-completion files for zsh in their macOS zip files for some reason. So if you also wan't a short guide on how to install them just let me know. |

@marksteven : could you share why you don't use any of the supported package managers listed in installation docs (homebrew, macports, conda, spack, webi)? Is there a specific concern with these package managers you find downloading directly from the repository preferable? |

Documents say Homebrew "brew install gh" (don't use) or download (for Mac) Then nothing other than "sudo port install gh " no mention of where to put the files first or just run command from downloads folder (which drew a blank.) Can someone point me to a step by step for beginers on how to install this, or where. Not all are experts at this so would argue documentation is lacking somewhat. Thanks in advance
